Looking For Inspiration

Photobucket

Many writers get their inspiration from different places. I am out of ideas so I thought I'd ask...does anyone know about anything interesting or unusual that is going on? It could be inspiring or just fun. Let me know!

Sorry, I don't know of anything today but I will keep my eyes and ears open for interesting things. I can't believe I have met someone one else who likes to diagram sentences!!!! That is so awesome! My husband and kids tell me I'm crazy for enjoying that. I have always liked words much more than numbers...lol :)
Thanks for tagging me... I had to dig deep to see what I thought was interesting about me for that many facts and it was actually fun. I loved reading yours and I too feel like I know you better because of it.
Have a great weekend!

You should write about bicycle commuting. This is something that I'm a bit new to but love. Bikes are fun. I don't know how much of a story you could get out of it though. You could talk about how poorly equipped the city is for bike transit. Especially the room for bikes on Trax.

This is just a topic on my mind. I don't really know anything about writing.

To be honest, I think that picture you put up is pretty inspiring.

Uhm, around here the levees are still threatening to make us lose more homes, and the city police chief was forced to resign due to a scam with his kid taking impounded cars for her own use, and there's a huge scam going on with the towing company who takes the cars, but no one will bring the entire chain down. It sucks.

I hope that was inspiring. :P

Also, I sent you a note on WD Forums.

Lauralee - this is Anita - Melanie's friend from work - as I'm sure you know because of your post on my blog. Thanks for the post. I have been checking out your blog for awhile now - I love the stories and the photos. When reading the stories about your little ones - I have many flashbacks of when my kids were little.

As a fellow writer, I can understand writer's block and trying to find inspiration and ideas. Right now my biggest problem is finding the time to write. I have alot of ideas - but I am soo soo soo busy. I dont have the time to work them out on paper.

I took a writers workshop from Brett Anthony Johnston. (author and Harvard professor) He had great ideas in the workshop for just what your post is about. Of course I cant remember them right now. But- I think he has written books about writing. So maybe check him out.

One thing I do remember...He gave us this prompt about a woman who woke up in the middle of the night and went into the kitchen for a glass of water. She went to the tap, got the water and looked out the window - and noticed something staring back at her. He of course told that scenario much more creatively, After he then asked us to finish the story.
This excercise was really fun! And I wrote a short story called "The Visitor" from this prompt

Sorry this post is so long :)but what can I say I'm wordy at times :)

Good luck with your writing!

I like to hear about changing social changes. For example, why the younger generation if different from the older or the older different from the oldest. That kind of stuff.
